Veronica is a community-driven professional originally from Ecuador, committed to education and cultural connection. She attended the New York City College of Technology (CUNY), and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from ASA College.
With over 13 years of experience as an administrative assistant in an insurance brokerage, she developed strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills before pursuing entrepreneurship.
Veronica has volunteered as an English/Spanish substitute teacher with the Healthfirst Foundation and has been actively involved in school communities and parent committees. As a parent, she participated in various LINC workshops, became a Reading Champion, and later joined the organization as a Family Engagement Specialist in Staten Island.
She is dedicated to supporting literacy, empowering families, and building inclusive communities. Outside of her work, Veronica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and is passionate about attending professional development and climate justice workshops, reading, writing, drawing, gardening, and camping. Her favorite book is Eva Luna by Isabel Allende, and she values children’s books such as Dreamers (Soñadores), Ada Twist, Scientist (Ada Magnífica, Científica), and works by Mo Willems, which supported her son’s speech development.
