We are thrilled to share with you a significant milestone in the journey of LINC. Over a year ago, we embarked on a mission to refresh our brand. We did this to establish a visual identity and voice that better reflect our values and personality and speak more directly to the families that we serve. Agency and linking community is at the heart of all that we do at LINC. We believe that educational achievement is possible by centering the voices of our families and the community we build together. This is how LINC advances equity.
Today, we are ready to unveil a new brand that we believe genuinely reflects our vision for LINC. You’ll see an updated logo and a whole new universe of colors, illustrations, and photographs all designed to inspire joy and celebrate our communities. We hope our new brand makes LINC families and supporters feel the sense of connection, openness, and inspiration that we create in our programming.
As part of this rebranding journey, we have an exciting announcement regarding our name. Though we are still—and always will be—LINC, this name previously stood for "Literacy Inc." Going forward, LINC will now stand for "Literacy in Community," a change that more accurately represents who we are, how we work, what we value, and what we do in each LINC neighborhood. To be “Literacy in Community” means that we are all united in making a more equitable world for our children through the power of literacy. You will notice this change in our updated logo, and in the way we talk about LINC.
We are excited about this shift and believe it will help existing and new LINC families and community partners better understand who we are as an organization right from the start. "Literacy in Community" and our new brand embody our commitment to fostering literacy and building strong connections that enable LINC families and communities to joyfully read, learn, and grow together.
We are immensely grateful for your ongoing support and dedication. Stay tuned for our new website in Spring 2024!
Thank you for being a vital part of our Literacy in Community.
