As the Community Assistant in Inwood, Rocio supports our team’s needs in the neighborhood. She also leads programming, like read-alouds, in the community. Rocio first came to LINC as a participant in our programming. After completing our Very Involved Parent (VIP) Academy, she led bilingual programming (in English and Spanish) in the community library for four years before joining our team as staff. Rocio was born north of Puebla in Mexico. Outside of work she loves being outdoors, whether going for walks or enjoying some coffee or tea with a book. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with family and her children. Her favorite children’s book is The Little Prince because of the lessons it teaches about relationships and appreciating the world around you.
