It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our dear friend and colleague Daniel Nkansah, a beloved literacy advocate who dedicated his life to promoting literacy and education. Mr. Daniel Nkansah made an indelible impact on countless lives through his work at the Queens Library and through his partnership with LINC, Reads, and CFR. Those of us who were fortunate to work alongside him know that his dedication to our work and our families had no limits. His passion for fostering a love of reading went beyond the call of duty. He worked tirelessly to create and support programs and initiatives to make literacy a reality for as many children as possible across Queens and beyond.
Everyone who crossed paths with him was welcomed by his bright smile and warm personality. He was known for his kindness and genuine care for our shared vision of universal literacy. Daniel had an incredible ability to connect with people and he loved our families and children. He leaves a memorable imprint in all of us and we will miss him.
We extend our deepest condolences to Daniel’s family, friends, colleagues, and all those who were touched by his remarkable work. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the torch of literacy in our communities.
Please join us in honoring Daniel’s life and the incredible impact he had on the lives of many.
